Congress
Ron Paul is a Libertarian running under the Republican ticket who
aims to restore integrity and accountability back to the office of
the presidency. He is a man who says what he means and means what
he says. There is no other candidate who even comes close to Ron
Paul with respect to his impeccable voting record and consistency
when protecting the rights of the people. He is well known in
Congress for blocking any legislation that does not conform to the
principles of the constitution earning him the tile “Dr No”.
Dr. Paul was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He
graduated from Gettysburg College and the Duke University School
of Medicine, before proudly serving as a flight surgeon in the
U.S. Air Force during the 1960s. He and his wife Carol moved to
Texas in 1968, where he began his medical practice in Brazoria
County. As a specialist in obstetrics/gynecology, Dr. Paul has
delivered more than 4,000 babies! He and Carol, who reside in
Surfside Beach, Texas, are the proud parents of five children
and have seventeen grandchildren.
He has a clear and concise vision for moving forward through
one of America’s most tumultuous periods since its inception. Having
served on the House Banking committee and a key member of the
Gold Commission Ron Paul has a keen understanding of the
financial subterfuge that is dictating misguided government
policies and putting the US and the Western world in economic
peril. Ron Paul has turned many heads with his outspoken criticism
of the status quo and a return to constitutional limits of
government. He speaks from the podium not with carefully
crafted conundrums but with honest straight talk that has
earned the respect of many. Dr. Paul has admonished the idea of
pre-emptive strikes and advocates a non interventionist
foreign policy.
Many have compared him in stature to that of the Founding
Fathers for his principled way of life. Similar to George Washington
who, much to the astonishment of everyone had voluntarily
stepped down from a position of power that was assumed to be
life long, Ron Paul was the first person in modern history to
author term limits legislation, then lived under them by
stepping down from his seat in 1984 and returning to his
medical practice.
In
extraordinary times its seams extraordinary people come forward. That time is
now and that person is Ron Paul. |
